Cryptococcus neoformans is an opportunistic fungal pathogen that can cause cryptococcal meningitis lung and skin infections, in immunocompromised individuals [1]. Cryptococcosis, caused by Cryptococcus spp., is one of the most common opportunistic infections among human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infected individuals [2]. Globally, almost 1 million new cases of cryptococcal meningitis are observed per year, with > 600,000 deaths [3].

This kit uses a specific monoclonal antibody against the Cryptococcus neoformans GXM and provides an effective test to monitor the susceptible population.

Dynamiker Cryptococcus neoformans Antigen Assay is based on competitive Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). It is used for the quantitative detection of Cryptococcus neoformans glycuronoxylomannan (GXM) antigen in human serum or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), offering a diagnostic reference for Cryptococcus neoformans infection.
