Description: Verbena is a perennial herb native to Europe and it has a long-standing use as a medicinal plant. In China, it is used as a traditional medicine for Clearing away heat and toxic materials, activating blood circulation to dissipate blood stasis and promoting diuresis to reduce swelling. Verbena Officinalis herb has been used in the traditional Austrian medicine internally (as tea or liqueur) for treatment of infections and fever. Medical use of Common Vervain is usually as a herbal tea. In addition, Verbena is also used as a cosmetic ingredient with INCI name Verbena Officinalis Extract. The herb we used is the dried Aerial Part collected during flowering, and the content of verbenalin is not less than 1.5%.
